On the last day of Guitar Summit 2026 in Mannheim I walked the show floor with my little camera. Glenn Vanherle of Algam Benelux shows new gear from Dunlop, Hiwatt, Fishman, Sterling and LÂG, plus a world premiere: the new Music Man Session series basses. Bas Schouten explains what makes Bourgeois guitars sound the way they do, from Dana Bourgeois’ tap-tuned tops to the new models built by Eastman. Rudi Bults of The Fellowship of Acoustics shows a one-off Santa Cruz with a top of ancient Fort Ross Chapel redwood and mahogany back and sides from the Bryn Athyn Cathedral. And Alister Atkin talks about aged finishes, why an inspiring guitar makes you play better and how Sting ended up with two Atkin guitars.
